🌍 Tamura Malaysia Sabah CSR Tree Planting — 1,000 Trees for a Greener Tomorrow 🌱Where Technology Meets NatureTamura Malaysia has successfully completed its 1,000-tree planting mission at the Lower Kinabatangan Wildlife Sanctuary in Sabah. This meaningful initiative was carried out in collaboration with APE Malaysia, a non-profit organization dedicated to wildlife conservation and community empowerment. It was more than just a tree planting event — it was a journey of resilience, unity, and commitment to sustainability.“100 kVA = 1 Tree” — Every transformer represents a green return to the Earth. The team began early in the morning, gathering in the quiet pre-dawn hours with backpacks, gloves, hats, and mosquito repellent — fully prepared for a mission that went beyond work. The journey to the sanctuary was not easy: traveling through rural roads, crossing river channels, and navigating dense jungle trails made reaching the area a real challenge, demanding teamwork, endurance, and determination.Upon arrival, the group spent the day traveling along the Kinabatangan River and setting up camp deep within the forest. As the boat glided along the mist-covered river, the rainforest stretched endlessly on both sides. By evening, the team had settled into the campsite, surrounded by the rhythm of the jungle, and shared a meal under a canopy of stars, soaking in the serenity of their remote surroundings. The next day brought full immersion into the rainforest. Jungle trekking, guided by local nature experts, tested the team’s stamina as muddy trails, steep slopes, and sudden rainfalls made progress challenging, making the ride slippery and cold.Wildlife was abundant: crocodiles passed by the river, and hornbills soared overhead. The raw, untamed environment demanded focus and teamwork, but every struggle was rewarded by breathtaking scenery.Despite the conditions, the breathtaking scenery — wild elephant grazing in the distance, hornbills soaring overhead, and lush green canopies — made every struggle worth it.At night, the riverbank came alive with fireflies and nocturnal creatures, leaving everyone humbled and inspired. It was a humbling and rewarding day — one that deepened everyone’s appreciation for the strength and beauty of nature. The final day marked the heart of the mission: planting saplings with APE Malaysia.Young plants were carefully prepared and transported by small boats across the river, through calm waters and dense greenery. With the guidance of APE Malaysia, everyone took part in the hands-on reforestation process: digging, planting, and securing each sapling into the soil.Though the heat and humidity tested our endurance, the energy remained high — driven by teamwork and purpose. By noon, hundreds of trees stood newly planted, a powerful symbol of Tamura’s commitment to sustainability. Before departure, the team gathered for one final photo under the Sabah sun — a moment of pride and unity. Each participant left knowing they had contributed something lasting — a greener tomorrow for generations to come. This initiative with APE Malaysia marks an important step in Tamura Malaysia’s “100 kVA = 1 Tree” sustainability vision.Through this journey, we didn’t just plant trees — we planted hope, connection, and the promise of a thriving environment. 🌱We will continue this CSR journey — nurturing new life, protecting our future.
