Tamura Malaysia (TEM) recently organized Walkathon 2025, a company-wide wellness and team-bonding initiative aimed at fostering employee health, unity, and a sense of camaraderie.

The event commenced with an energizing warm-up session led by Ms. Mastumi and team group leaders. This was followed by an inspiring speech from our Managing Director, Mr. Kong Jon Yuen, who emphasized the importance of perseverance, wellness, and unity within the workplace. The Walkathon was then officially launched by Mr. Kong alongside Deputy Managing Director, Mr. Kaneko Masahiro.
🎨 A unique highlight of the opening was the “spraying game,” which unveiled the phrase “HEALTH PROGRAM SUKTEM 2025” using vibrant bluish and pinkish-red spray. The visual impact symbolized health, harmony, passion, and care—setting a dynamic tone for the evening.
🏃♂️🏃♀️ Participants from five spirited teams — Tuah, Jebat, Kasturi, Lekiu, and Lekir — completed a six-round walking course filled with energy, encouragement, and cross-departmental engagement. Men total 3KM while women total 2KM.
🎁 A lucky draw with 50 exciting prizes, generously sponsored by TEM Union and TEM PKPT, (Welfare Club) added to the event’s excitement.
🍽️ As a post-event treat, meals were provided for all employees to enjoy and rehydrate. Participants also signed their names beneath their respective team on the Health Program 2025’s banners, marking both personal achievement and collective solidarity.
